Position Responsibilities
Consultants are assigned to projects based on availability, individual experience and capability, familiarity with the client company or industry, and geography. In the course of a year, a consultant may work alone for the most part, and with many different colleagues on parts of projects the remainder of the time. Typical projects have a lead consultant who works with the client throughout the project, with others joining in as required. A consultant works with multiple projects at one time. Consultants evaluate organizational issues, advise client organization leadership, implement culture change initiatives using BST's proprietary methods, and do training sessions and presentations for groups of between 10 to 100. Consultants identify new business opportunities within their client's organizations and work with our account executives to support new business generation. When not doing client work, consultants may develop new materials, write articles for publication, participate in problem-solving teams, and do other project work. Consultants report to one of several Consulting Group Managers who report to the President of BST. Consultants meet as a group several times during the year for training, problem solving, and communication, and receive training through web-based seminars periodically during the year.
We offer competitive compensation and benefits based on your experience and a stimulating, rewarding work environment. Our selection process for employees is comprehensive providing information for both future employee and employer to make a more informed decision. Turnover rate is very low which we attribute to our hiring process and company culture. Initial training for new consultants is typically full time the first few months. Extensive travel is required. On average, Consultants spend 12 - 16 nights away from home each month travelling to client sites throughout the U.S. and Canada.
